Using a strength-based biopsychosocial lens, we will utilize several integrated evidence-based modalities in your healing journey like eye-brain techniques, emotion-focused practices, somatic strategies, family systems and attachment theory. Clients often report that this integrated approach leads to a deeper understanding and an overall improvement in quality of life. My approach is "What has happened to you, and what strategies did you have to use that are now in the way of living your life to the fullest?“  I am continually humbled and honoured by the resiliency my clients build.

My lifelong educational journey began in the Netherlands with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from HAN University of Applied Sciences, and it led to an M.A. in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, here in Canada. Post masters, I have added up-to-date trauma therapies like Internal Family Systems Therapy, TRIP (Trauma Regulation & Integration Process), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, San ‘Ýas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and mindfulness, and received certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional Level II.
